What to Send Before Requesting a Spout Pouch Quote
Most quotation delays are not the factory being slow. A supplier reads your message, needs four more facts, and waits two days for a reply that one exchange could have covered.
Send these and you will get a usable quotation:
- Product, and how thick it is
- Fill volume, in ml or grams
- Pouch size, if you already have one
- Material, if you have a structure on file
- Spout and cap preference
- Filling method and nozzle size
- Print colours and artwork status
- Quantity per order, and per SKU
- Destination country
If some of these are still open, send the rest and say which are missing. Product and fill volume alone are enough for us to recommend a size and structure.
A filled example
Product: Shampoo refill
Fill volume: 500 ml
Pouch type: Stand-up spout pouch
Spout: Screw cap
Printing: Full custom
Quantity: 50,000 pcs
SKUs: 2
Destination: USA
That is enough to quote against, and faster to write than an email asking what else is needed.
What happens next
You get a specification sheet and a quotation. For a new project the next step is normally a sample rather than a production order — stock samples are free, custom printed samples take 7–10 days.
